What is it good for? absolutely nothing! [rush hour :] lol. But i've seen so many sites that are at the top of google search results, and I really can't figure out how because their pagerank drops a huge goose-egg. I've seen newbie sites rank ahead of page rank 5 sites for a particular keyword. So i've been studying these sites, and I've realized something: They all have great use of keywords, whether accidental, or intentional. i'm starting to think that conquering SEO is nothing.
Sidestepping the PR issue, it is a true fact that with good keyword research and implementation you can rise nicely upwards in the search engine results.
Surely you don't know anything about PageRank and the internet. If you have your own site you'll understand.
I agree with everything you said until those last lines....If it is that easy then PM some samples of your work and I'll send a lot of work your way
Exactly like I have tried to state before its really not about PR..It's about authority and relevance...
When you know your shit it is nothing bro...but are you up to par is the real question? Oh and btw if someone does need a little help with work get at me! I have the credentials, knowledge and the tools bro! PM
I think that PR is very over rated. I have seen sites with little to no page rank out rank websites with much higher page rank in the SERPS.
lol my little BH babies outrank "authority" and "relevant" sites easily I don't believe in PR nor in authority or trust rank
You shouldn't expect adobe to come first in google for the keyword 'eggs' just because it has a pr of 10. But, pagerank matters when two sites with similar content target the same keyword and optimize their sites for that keyword. in this case, the website with higher pagerank has more chance.
I disagree. Here's what you can do for test: If you have a website with let's say PR3 (4+ is better), just change the title of the homepage. (in the meta of course, not on the page) Then check for which keywords people find you and where do you rank. I saw changes in 2 days after changing the title. High pagerank combined with the title of the page gives you immediately higher rankings for that keyword regardless of anchor text of incoming links. Test and see. Sites with low PR will of course rank nowhere regardless of the title of the page.
PR isn't the only deciding factor, but it plays a role in SERPS, but for example my directory http://www.polyfuzion.org (PR0) is on the first page of google for "graphics directory" it mainly depends on the SEO.
No,pr is something important, but it is not all the things,i know a site got pr=7,but it is not index on the top.
I don't care about page rank much. For one search term in google I am number 1 from 4,930,000 search results and that page has a pagerank of 2 for another search term I am also number one in Google from 3,630,000 search results and this page also has a page rank of 2 PR is important if you are selling links and that is about it!
Could it be that the new sites don't have their PR updated yet? So what you're seeing is not a reflection of their number of backlinks?
i agree with that page rank is nothink. it's only calculated for only fun seo will help you to get visitors from search engines
Impossible to measure. I dont believe PR has any influence on the serp's and for that, we can lay the blame squarely at the feet of link pimps that have dominated this industry for far too long.
