PageRank Does it Realy Matter now ?

my website has lost his pr from 5 to 0 cause of selling links but im still no 1 in very popular keyword in serp so my question is does pr still one of the most important factors in SEO ?

 

what happens is that google makes your pagerank look like 0 so that you cannot sell more links as nobody wants to buy pr0 links but the site itself still has the same pagerank

 

I think pr not important as the quality of site. My site pr2 but it has a good position on search engines.

 

pr has nothing to do with SEO. or anything to do with anything, for that matter.

 

PR loss will effect your link buyers.
They will loss there SERP.

 

for me, PR is nothing... it's like a dogma :|

 

SERP is not depend on the PR but the keyword density of your website

 

Pagerank is mostly just there to help you determine how popular your website is, IE how many incoming links you have. As long as your getting good traffic then your pagerank should not be an issue.

 

Only if you sell links in a small scale, Many sites have lost their PR because of link sales

 

All PageRank for me is an easy way to make some quick cash

 

I'm focusing on SERP a lot more than PR...
Some reasons why people are obsessed with PR if for them to sell links and make them easy to deal with link exchanges...

 

SERP is not depend on the PR!!

 

Google takes into account 100 different factors when deciding upon your page rank, one of which is your SERPS placement. Personally SERPS is far more important

 

For me PR is nothing and in my all career I didn't run behind the PR I'm always concentrate on my work and getting more and more quality back links and my PR is still 4 and 5 of my old projects

 

I dont think SERPS placement have something to do with pagerank. Pagerank it's more like a reputation sistem for sites.

 

i've link from a site his pr was 5 and now is 0 and i still have same serp maybe better , from my little experience i dont see any affecting for the pr .

 

everyone says that PR is not important until they get a good PR, they start jumping and shouting and what not

 

lol, not me cause i already had a good pr before and even after losing it i still in #1 ,we are sharing our experience here from our previous tests and not based on reading books .

 

I think a site should have some page rank rather than 0.

 

Nowadays most people don't really bother about PR anymore as long as the SERP doesn't get affected and thus traffic continues to flow in. However it may be disadvantage to your if you intent to further sell links or maybe the whole website.
