Hi, Under the crawl stats in the analytics data there are three bars below the graphs that show pagerank distribution for the site. These show as bar graphs showing high Medium Low I am presuming that the bar graph shows as a percentage of the total number of pages you have indexed. Any thoughts on what google considers for each range.. i.e. Is Low 0-2 medium 3-5 etc high being 6+ Thanks
i think medium starts at 5 and high starts at least 7 maybe more, our main domain is a 5 and shows as medium, and we have a PR6 client site that isnt showing any pages as high. remember its logarithmic, so its unlikely it would be an equal 3 way split out of ten. 5-7 or 8 medium - 8+ high plus also you mean webmaster tools not analytics dont you?
I have been trying to figure this out too. I have 2 sites that have medium pages, but it doesn't seem to be related to toolbar PR. The site I own with highest PR have only low pages.
That is normal. That only means the Toolbar has not been updated to match what the Webmaster tools is showing yet. It means it is in between a PR Update. Hopefully I did not confuse you guys.
I hear you rockymountainexperience, and I have the same suspiction, I guess we will know more after the next google toolbar PR update.
I recently had about 40,000 new pages indexed by google and watched as the distribution went through the bars..from not yet assigned to low etc so it would seem to be working on an ongoing basis.. however another slight problem would seem to be that if your homepage gets into the high category...how can you see it...with nearly 50,000 indexed pages 1/50,000 as a bar is going to look pretty small!
