Hey, There have been many of these threads before but I need pagerank explained. To get PR1 how many back links do you need? If you have a PR7 backlink does that make you a PR1 or higher? Does anyone have a table which shows this information? Regards, nut legend
If you get a PR7 backlink I would expect you to achieve a PR1 yes... assuming the link is from a relevant site. You shouldn't really focus on finding links just to achieve PageRank, however, since it has no direct influence on where you come in search results.
There's no flat conversion rate because there are so many factors to be determined. Obviously, the PR of the page giving the link matters, but you also have to consider how many links that PR is being divided by. It might be better to get one of three links on a PR4 page than it is to get one of thirty links on a PR5 page. Relevancy also seems to make a big difference in PR transfer: If a PR8 page is about celebrities a link to your page about electronics may not be as valuable as if it was from another site about electronics. So basically, you want to get links from high PR pages that are related to your site. Ideally, the link will also have anchor text that corresponds to the keywords you want to rank for.
According to me Page Rank Are decided Liek 1 < 2 < 3 .... <10 10 - Google So U can have Better Page rank... See Mine Blog PR3 - Mat Results
Of course the problem with this is the website that you need to get the link from already has what you want. Chances are they won't just give it to you.
It doesn't depend on how many back links you have but the quality. sometimes when you can't get any back links in your niche then quantity will play a big role.
