PageRank/Back Link Update (2/18/2006)

Just got some screwy results. I am seeing double of every listing for this term I just searched. I think they are still working on the update.

 

no, thats just duplicate urls from same domain right... it happens every now and again. check another datacentre.

 

OH JESUS
Most of my high PR links have dropped
Some from 7 to zero.
Most big ones are now zero. Ok one or two gone up.
It is either the PR on a pogostick
or me, a link, or all my sites about to get banned!
I am a nervous wreck

 

I am of the opinion that the Jagger updates never ended...

Nope, this time it was showing a duplicate listing of each listing. I checked the first 30 and they all showed the same. Two identical results for each.

 

If it's still showing these results, can you post a link to the datacenter search that is showing this. I'm interested to see this.

It showed it all day yesterday but now it is gone. The search I did was for comb binding machine.

 

I didn't make it to PR10 during this update, but I did stay in a Holiday Inn last night

 

Either we both got banned, or something funny is going on.

All of my sites that had PR are now showing 0. I didn't have anything at all near PR7, so I guess I'm not panicking quite as much, but 2 and 3 ar ebetter than 0.

 

I've not seen much fluctuation up or down. I did notice KingBloom hitting PR6 for all of a day, then back to 5 where it has been.

Only time will tell

 

I thought that getting banned means you show a grey bar or unranked instead of 0.

This is happening for everyone, everyone is showing a 0...

all of my higher page ranked sites are also showing 0.

i believe something is going wrong with the PR update, becuase my ranks on my keywords have gone up big time.

 

Will this PR update ever end? I still have domains that are in the middle of a PR update for about one month now. Some data centers show old PR others show new PR. I even have a strong PR7s that has a few DCs that show PR0. I don't think a penalty is coming, I just think this is a wierd update.

http://www.reladvance.com gives a nice snapshot of websites accross many Goog DCs. It is amazing the differences between DCs. I have never seen anything like this update.

 

I just got some really weird results. Page 1 showed the top 10 like normal but then page 2 repeated the top 10 and showed the next 10 right underneath. Page 3 repeated the top 20 and showed the next ten under those. It kept following that pattern so page 15 actually had results 1 to 150.

 

That a nifty little website - I like the pop-fade-in on the grahics - curious how they are doing that.

 

I've seen this several times in the last couple of days - yea, wonder what's up with the big "G"

 

So it isn't just me. I am guessing they will fix that before the Big Daddy update is over.

 

I have seen this effect done with Java/JavaScript, but that is the extent of my programming knowledge.
