PageRank/Back Link Update (2/18/2006)

Not finished for me as well, went straigh to PR0 from PR6, STOP Google PLEAASE.

 

I'm still waiting to see a change, nothing so far.

 

Toolbar Pagerank does not do anything to your placement for that is calculated by Google weekly. By the time you see the Toolbar change it is just showing you your pagerank for the last two to three months. Just a history lesson.

 

For me pr has been updated.I can see change in pr on toolbar.I don't know how reliable are page prediction tools. They all were predicting much higher pr then what i got.All the prediction tools were predicting pr4 for one of my site and pr2 for other my sites.but i got only pr2 for which the tools were predicting pr4. and rest are still pr0.I am wondering what is most important for pr increase.??????

 

How serious is "Anchor Text" anyway? As long as other quality site are linking to you does it really matter what text they use to link to you?

yes, anchor text, and varying it, is absolutely vital. Ever hear of google bombing and 'miserable failure'? that alone shows the power of anchor text.

Anchor text has nothing to do with back links. Anchor Text are used for keyword placement.

 

I'm sorry if there is another thread on this though I don't believe there is.

I believe Google just updated backlinks. My site is new so it had none, but now it has 467.

The reason I ask is due to this link http://www.webuildpages.com/neat-o/ I get different types of anchor texts showing up on my backlinks. Why would this be when I provide only two types of text links to ones I trade with?

 

Best thing to do is do something else. It's obvious the update is going on, so sit back, and wait till it's over. No sense worrying about it.

I have seen a significant jump on a few of my sites. So that is good. I will never complain about a positive.

 

Sorry but your statement sounds confusing to a newbie. Anchor text has everything to do with backlinks. You require backlinks to contain your preferred anchor text.
