PageRank/Back Link Update (2/18/2006)

I think it's really happening,,,,

One of my site went 0 to 4 in few DC

 

im seeing a 0 -> 4 for me but not on all DC just yet

 

Hmm, for the first time, I actually might believe one of the PR threads.

I just checked my Blog Directory with the McDar tool, and sure enough, it is showing PR and backlinks for the first time ever.

Maybe it is just a fluctuation, or maybe there is an update going on.

 

How do you know its begun?

i'm the last one who wanted to start one of these threads. But i've never seen a pr 6 on my site so something has to be going on

 

Well, if it updating PR, I hope it keeps the numbers it is showing. It shows my directory going from PR 0 to PR 5

 

yep, it is an update.
www.phplinkdirectory.com is now a 6 on some DCs.
(that is definitley new data)

 

Is it usually the case that an initial 'new' Page Rank update is lower than the actual PR given to a site?

Can't believe my backlinks could increase by 900 and yet my PR falls from a 4 to a 3 ...

 

wait until the update is finished. I doubt you dropped in PR

 

I am seing also that all my sites PR have been change.... I guess it's starting..

I'm confident this is the real deal, but these tools are getting jammed up by people that are checking

Here is one method to check that I have used in the past, but we will need a valid ip of a datacenter with the new PR

This took me less than 1 minute.

Depending on which version of Windows you are running,
go to:
c:\winnt\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
or
c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

Note: hosts is a file in the etc folder

and insert this line:
64.233.167.104 toolbarqueries.google.com
(I used wordpad to open the file)

 

It will take awhile to get to Cygnus X-1, even at the speed of light.
But you should know that already...

 

Holy Moly - my last two sites have gone from a 0 > 5 with next to no promotion. Nice....
