This PR data is weird, sites like alivedirectory is showing a PR4... which there is no way possible that site should be at least PR7. Some of my sites are the same way... should be PR 4-5 and coming up PR2... No way possible unless G changed their algorithym... seems the old sites stayed the same but the new sites didn't get PR benefit from new links maybe...

Seems I saw a few others with the same problem last time around...

But we really should let this settle for a few days before we draw conclusions. After all, the last PR update never did go across all d/c's...

And on top of that, directory.google.com ranks the websites from the DMOZ in order by their pageranking (current, not toolbar). One of my sites have a PR5 site above them and below them.... yet mine (in the middle) shows future PR of 4 according to McDar... that's not possible as indicated by Google's own directory. Something is definately screwy.

What makes that even more strange is the excessively.net comparison. It is newer than alivedirectory.com and has less backlinks....yet it is showing as PR6.

I hope you will get a 6 when it all sorts out. Good luck.

Like I said earlier, my site moved up 1 rank to #3 since yesteday and has a PR7 below me, yet I'm still PR4.

It was PR7 before this latest update. Was expecting 8 with this one. We'll see what happens...

Only new sites of mine affected and got good PR. But old sites remained at the same PR (although backlinks updated for all). There is smt wrong here:confused:

PR on all the datacenters and the toolbar shows my site at a 5, which is what it has been at.

I checked the Google directory a couple days ago and I was at a 5 (or maybe 4, sometimes that thing isnt real easy to read). As of today, it shows 6. I am hoping the datacenters all change to reflect what the directory shows. :)

I agree with you 100%. Whether it be a "sandbox" effect or just giving more weight to links that have been pointing to a site for many months. This has been going on for quite some time now, in my view. My guess is that some folks were purchasing links for a few months on Ebay or other sites and getting a PR jump from that temp purchase. However, now a link needs to be active for almost a year before Google gives it much weight at all.
