I am wondering how website like prchecker.info report pagerank info given that Google pagerank API is not available?
Actually there is NO public API at all. It is a simple script that fetches the PageRank after some computations.
There are many free ready made scripts which checks pr ... but afaik Google doesn't provide any api for checking pr
I don't use API on my Bulk PR checker, it just fetch query from google toolbar service to get real PR.
Google Tool bar with the function of checking PR is available. Click on it you may know what is your PR.
I have attached a function coded by me to check pr of your site. how to use. Rename the file to .php ,include it in your script and then just use check_pr("www.google.com"); (any site) And that's it.
The google toolbar is the key to the data which the scripts collect PR info on websites. You can make grids showing alexa ranking, page rank of site and page rank of inner sites, number of inbound links according to google and yahoo, etc. using scripts which pull data from sources like the free toolbars as well as by using the APIs of the search engines / traffic info sites (Alexa, Yahoo, etc.) Google offers cool APIs and offers one similar to what makes the Google toolbar tick, its in the forums -- I wish I had a link to give you.
The best idea: stick with the scripts you have going in this forum and download the php pages / use a site downloader to get the full-fledged scripts. There's constantly shifting pieces to scripts, so make sure you get one where the data is as permanent as you can find.
well i read somewhere that this scripts violate the google terms is it so? if it is so..than how such sites are developing in thousands number??
While Google does not offer an official API, APIs are avaialble from http://www.trynt.com/trynt-google-pagerank-api/ and http://webinfodb.net/api.php, which can provide for thousands of PR requests.
You can use this one for free http://pagerank.triphp.com/ And to check the internal pages of your site this one http://www.internalrank.com/
