PageRank and addresses that use php variables

    Does pagerank pass correctly to the main site (IE www,domain.com) when the link to the site uses a php variable? (like www,domain.com?var=12)

    I have found links to my site from forums with php variables in the url that have actually acquired pr 4.

    I have a writing directory site that uses php nuke. It's offsite links use a php variable. I am sure these links even pass rank because just as you click a link, the pagerank on the toolbar changes before the actual url even loads.
