    Does anyone really know what this is? Is it a spoof or what?

    I was putting a post up here in regards to a PR update. And a window certification popped up with this
    URL: pagead2.googlesyndication.com . When I went to this page it says nothing to see here. Took the subdomain off and the /paged and it redirected back to Google homepage. Googlesyndication.com gets redirected back to Googlesyndication.com/Google.com

    What is it and what does it do and why does it pop up? I am sure it is nothing. Or so meaningless window blah blah blah. Just curious thats all.

    It is the domain from which google serves ads for Adsense. The javascript code for adsense is also pulled from the above server.

    Thanks. Hmmm... Well I wasnt starting a thread just posting midway through one of the lengthy PR updates threads here at DP. But ok makes sense.
