Say I have a website called carsforsale.com And I want to create a market place in multiple cities Do you think it matters on Google if I choose: seattle.carsforsale.com chicago.carsforsale.com philadelphia.carsforsale.com etc. vs. carsforsale.com/seattle.html carsforsale.com/chicago.html carsforsale.com/philadelphia.html thanks in advance!
Keep it plain html, you don't need subdomains. Unless they are all going to be incredibly stand-alone (as in they are very separate from each other), save yourself the trouble, Google doesn't care either way really, but html is fine.
Yes i just realized Craigslist being possibly the biggest example as this.......... sanfrancisco.craigslist.org, etc. ..... also I notice apartments.com does this.... sanfrancisco.apartments.com, etc.
Second method is good bcz u will ranked soon and will not effect in the domain name . Easy to recognize and can give link from ur main page
Simply go with a subdomain if you know how to create a good inner linking structure within your own website, after all it's all about the links dude
