I'm building a joomla website for a baseball team and i purchased a template. I installed the template and everything works great, but the title of the page appears right in the middle of the page. This is the first time this has happened when building Joomla sites. I could get rid of the code by editing the file, but I wanted to know if there was a function on Joomla's admin that got rid of this? The website is baseball.tripshock.com. Any help would be appreciated!

You can select that to not show up if it is a menu item. You only have one menu item, so I could not verify that is coming from the menu settings.

Thanks for the reply. I'm pretty sure it's not a menu item. It has something to do with the global site title. For some reason it wants to plop itself right in the middle of the website!

    Try looking here:

Administrator --> menus --> main menu --> Home --> parameters (system)

Change the "show page title" to no and see if that helps.
