OK in the admin for my site I have a section where you can edit the seo settings. For my blog I have set the browser title, meta description etc. But then there's a section in the admin where you write the posts, and here again is a section for the overall blog (not individual posts bear in mind) and it lets you set 'page title' and 'page url keywords'. Obviously no matter what I put in the page title, the browser title always shows up. So.. what is the purpose of page title/page url keywords? Thanks!
There will be some default settings for every blog platform. Unless you know how to edit/change them whatever you do it will not have impact. So some where you are wrong with your editings. Try to find where you are doing wrong. Also are you using blogger or wordpress or something else ?
I think your question is incomplete or not understandable. Secondly, their are several settings for SEO in every CMS which we cannot answer without seeing the cms menus.
no its our own platform. dont see how question is incomplete, browser title shows up where it should, but page title does nothing no matter what I type in it, dont see the purpose of it?
Is the website/blog live so that i can check it and come up with a relevant answer. Might be some code issue here
sure, on my site in my signature, then just go to blog. no code issue, all I am asking is what is the point in page title when it doesnt show up because 'browser title' shows up
You use open source it? It can be said is what you use under open source, there should be a place set
