Page Strength

I really like and respect the work SEOmoz has done on the page strength tool.

It is, in my opinion, a much better representation of the power of a web site than Google PageRank. I have been a fan of it for a while now, especially given the fact that Google seems to so rarely update sites that already have PR anymore. I am wondering if it's going to be a one-time per year thing with them now. It also shows a lot more detail than PR. For example, you can see that www.alivedirectory.com and www.blazemp.com are both PR7 with Google. However, if you look at their Page Strength rankings, you can see the difference (alivedirectory.com is 6.5 and blazemp.com is 8). It just seems to better represent a site's real and current strength in more depth and more accurately. Great work these guys have done.

It looks like a great tool with great feedback on how you earned the rank you did.

    *Bookmark*.

    I like it because although I'm PR1, I get a strength of 2.5! :)

Oh, I forgot. There's another neat little tool over at www [.] zippy [.] co [.] uk for finding various info on your domain. 'Scuse the multi posting.

it is indeed a great tool - seomoz has done great work on it and is a good tool for checking the true value of sites/pages rather than checking the various pagerank tools
