page redirection good for seo?

my keywords are ranking for a page .i need to redirect a current page to new page with same title tag and content.
will it affect ranking keywords?
will search engine replace and display new links?

 

The search engine will display the same entry but once the visitor click on the page he/she will be redirected to the new page.
In terms of SEO, redirection is not the best but if you have no other option then there's nothing you can do about it.

There are many reason to redirection. Some time some person Re-Develop or Re Design your website at that time old website url is change. In this case Old Develop website url redirect to new website url. There is no bad effect for seo point of view.
