I have all of my links on many directories and even bought a few PR3 and PR5 links for each. And my pages are still at 0PR. I was wondering if there just hasnt been any change in pageranks till a certain date or what I have done isnt enough or I did not do it right. I am talking about the links in my sig www.famosomagazine.com and www.thehomedirectory.net . Thanks

 

page rank has not been updated yet but people are waiting the pr update in 2-3 weeks

 

Google has only just updated backlinks over the last week, PR updates should be coming with in the next couple of weeks. Juts keep building your site and back links and you will see some results.

Yeah, pagerank just doesn't automatically update because you submitted to directories and got a few backlinks from high PR sites. They only update it every 3-4 months as midwest noted

 

Toolbar Pagerank is only updated a few times a year. Your real Pagerank is hidden and is updated all the time.

Pagerank is not related to traffic.

I think you also need traffic,I own a domain without any good links in,but i still got PR2,i think that is beacuse i own good traffic (3000 visitors/day)

 

I think the pr should be coming any minute now.

Alexa is dedicated to count your traffic and they publish ranking know as Alexa Traffic Rank

last pr update happened on 27 march and i think its 5 days away as i read every where that it happens once every three month...

 

Page rank also depends on the traffic i.e Popularity of the site.

It gets a little confusing when we use the same term to discuss two different things. PR is google's Page Rank which it calculates based on the quality and quantity of the backlinks to a web page.
What you are talking about here

is SEPRs or search engine page results which is your ranking in the result page of query for a keyword in a search engine, which is influenced by traffic but PR is not. so this

is wrong when talking about PR but right when talking about SERPs
