PageRank doesn't mean nothing. It just means a lot less than people act like it does. It isn't the end all of domains and SEO, that's for sure.

Increasing PR requires building more links from sites that have PageRank. You have three options:

    1. Post on PR sites that don't use the no-follow tag.
    2. Post articles that will attract attention through linking -- harder to do now with social networks and news aggregators finding way to suck up your link juice.
    3. Build (or buy) your own PR sites and network them together. Over time PR will grow if you keep adding quality content. Still takes a few good inbound links to juice it up a bit.

The big thing with PageRank is don't drive yourself nuts with it. Getting to PR3 or PR4 is meaningful. Anything above that is just a pissing contest.

PR DOES matter, people are just repeating what they hear. Find me a site that ranks number 1 with any keywords with a low PR.

I think focusing on in bound links that contain your keyword is key.

It's a balance of things. But PR by itself does nothing. There are PR4 websites out there right now that get almost zero traffic.

Links with good keywords in the anchor tags are super important. Once you weigh in well for those keywords, your PR value gives you the boost you need against those sites Google might otherwise consider to be equal to yours.

The big thing is, don't focus mindlessly on PR and only PR.

Pagerank has nothing to do with CTR. CTR will depend on your rankings and site design.

Not true. PR is not so important as before, but websites with high PR still have good ranking.

PR matters hugely in terms of where backlinks to your Money Site/s come from.

However PR doesn't matter that much for the ranking of the Money Site itself - plenty of low PR sites beat higher ones in the SERPs constantly - through backlinks from (usually) inner pages on trusted high PR sites.

If you do want high PR for your Money Site, you need one thing: backlinks from actual pages with high PR (not the domain, the actual page).
