Page Rank Update

I was just wondering, I know that the page rank index is updated about 4 times a year, however I was just wondering, do they roll out the updates, or is it updated on specific dates etc.

Just because I keep on checking the page rank for my site, and I don't know whether it is worth it, or whether I have to wait until the 1st of June or whenever, when the next update comes into effect.

I have the Alexa FireFox add-on which shows PR in the corner of my browser. That way I can see it at a glance, for any page on the net.

 

The PR update doesnt follow a specific schedule. The updates are done every 3 or 4 months. If I remember correctly the last update was durung the last bit of April. So the next one will probably be late July or early August.

 

Ok, cool, thanks for clearing that up, I might as well wait a while then before I check again.

No problem, Just remember that whenever a Page Rank update is in progress you will probably see ten different threads here where people are discussing it

 

The update will show up around the end of July, however the date where Google "takes a picture" of your site should be some time during the first two weeks of July.

Another point is that when they do start the update, it can take a few weeks to fully take, you may see your site bouncing before all data centers fully update. Sometime in June, there will people on here saying the update is happening but most likely it will be false alarms. It should be around mid- late July but Google play by its own clock so they may make us wait longer. You will know when it really starts because that will be all that anyone is talking about.

PR update has no exact date in updating. You just need to monitor, I think PR update happens every three months

 

why don't you just get the google toolbar...its available for both firefox and Internet Explorer..

 

Just remember that the Google Toolbar only changes after all of the datacenters have updated. A good tool, but it won't tell you much until after the update.

 

Just read DP everytime their is an Update you will see at least 200 hundred threads about it
