Actually I believe ~ confirms that Google is using LSI. Go to Google and search for 'business printing' then search for '~business ~printing' pay careful attention to what words are bolded in serps. Notice it changes when using ~ to include synomious terms.

A naturally written, quality page will have all of that incorporated automatically though so it shouldn't be too much of an issue. Those in the business of KW spamming will get busy updating their spam though.
