    Hi,

I have created a website with about 150 original pages of article content and with that and a DMOZ PR 5 link my sites index page is only PR3.

What am I doing wrong or is it just a matter of time?

    Thanks,

    Donald

Pagerank has got nothing to do with content.
Well, maybe indirectly, as good content will make people want to link to you, and it's backlinks that affect pagerank.

Just as magda mentioned, having content pages doesn't affect directly your PR.
PR is gained via backlinks, not via site pages ;)

Good content is good but, if you really want to get a better pr, like what everyone else is saying, links.
