Okay, I have a few Google Page Rank questions, and I'll just post em here since I'm not sure if they belong in the SEO category or not.. My site is new and really hasn't started getting visitors until late April and at the start of May, but my page rank has been and still is 0/10. What are the qualifications for where a site ranks? Does my site get a 0/10 because the page rank update hasn't noticed it yet? Or is it because my site is relatively small (I'll have 1500 uniques in May after only under 100 in April)? Anyone who can shed some light on this for me, it is greatly appreciated!
Page rank is to do with your backlinks, you get page rank given when a page that links to you has some green but you will only notice this when the "toolbar" updates. For your site to rank high you need content/good back links and some SEO basically.
The way google works, somewhere between 0-10 I don't think you can really work out the PR you will get. http://www.iwebtool.com/pagerank_prediction Might give you an idea but no page rank prediction is 100% correct
Yes. I had the same questions. My website is new too and get a decent number of visitors but the PR still shows 0. What was suggested and what I had been doing is trying to get as many backlinks to my site as possible. Also, note that Google does not update its PR very often. I heard that it takes a few months between PR updates. Best of luck
