Page Rank Question

    Sorry if i got this on the wrong thread Category. I find it hard to belief that some Website which is establish this year have high Page Rank (3 and above). is it possible? how to distinguish whether it is fake or not?

    You can use websites like CheckPageRank.net to see if the PR is valid or not. Getting up to a PR3 in less than a year isn't that hard. Now, if you're getting up to a PR6 within a year that's a different story. Anything PR0-PR5 within a year can be done.

    It's not an issue, every one can get high PR with quality content and well managed and well designed site

    There is no hard and fast rule of PR in relation with SEO...so any pr0 site can rank on first page as well.

    I don't think it's fake. Faking a PR can be a difficult thing.

    No, faking it is the easy way; just 301 your domain to any high PR domain and wait for PR update. After that you're "good to go" until the next update.

    But as stated before, reaching high PR in under a year is not an issue, as it all comes down to link building.

    Even though you can 301 the domain, it's very easy to check whether it was faked, even by using online tools. :)

    there's an online tool to check for fake PR? by the way, is it possible if we buy a website from another owner, and once domain and webhosting transfer, will it affect the PageRank?

    Well, duh, it's impossible to fake PR so that it cannot be discovered...
