I could not find the answer to my question on the forum. I recently went from PR2 to PR0 on my site. How or why does this happen?

You don't have an idea about what google dance "once was". Do you? ;)
It "was" more related to "indexing" of pages than to "PR" updates...

To the person who started this thread, see if you have accidentally ended up linking to a site which is either banned, or has some penalty.

You could also loose PR if sites linking to you are no more linking to you, or lost their PR.
    Bye :)

Check your link exchange partners, or check that matter with google, I always do inquiries whenever something's wrong with my site that only google knows.

if you lose links then your pr goes down. if you see the pagerank toolbar greyed out then check some of the sites that you are linking to and check you incoming links to make sure the sites are still linking to you.

PR is influenced by factors that CAN be out of your control. However, if you continue to build relevant links you can counter this.

Of course I know, There are lots of definition of Google dance, and I know that everytime Google updates its index, there is a tendency that one site's PR will decrease.

It's also likely that your PR is different across the datacenters - I have several sites like this...Use this tool to check http://www.mcdar.net/Q-Check/datatool.asp

Sometimes you wouldn't know that there are updates happening in Google so be ready for that. Pagerank can decrease if you linked in bad neighborhood or just sometimes you have been victimized by the dance.

What does it number 1 but you have a little unique visitor. I think Number 1 (one) is not the good target.

The Best target and exellent potion is number 3 - 5.
    I don't now why?

The sites linking to you could be defined as spam, by google - discounting the links altogether.

Your content is what the PR is all about and links going to your site. Don't worry about PR unless you are going to sell links on your site.

The sites that were linking to you may have removed your links, or the sites that were linking to them removed links and they lost their PR.
Its a long chain reaction, if theres a break in the chain anywhere it can affect your site.
These things are difficult to track, and besides it is not all that important anyway.
Try and get some stable links.
