Their is no negative PR. PR starts from NA, 0, 1, 2, ....10 Ur site PR is 0. Check ur PR at: http://seopen.com/seopen-tools/pagerank.php
You can download the google toolbar to your site and type the url in the browser if you want to see the pagerank. The pagerank will be visible in the toolbar browser and you can check for all the webpages of the site.
What exactly does PR mean? It stands for page rank but I don't understand what the value of 1, 2, et is for?
PR measures the importance of your site's importance according to google. It is a function of inbound links.
Thank you ebusiness. I was looking at the stats on one of my main competitor, their PR is 1 and mine is 2, I have more BLP and BLD than them yet they rank above me every time, is this purely because their content/keywords must be better than mine?
Google has devised its own unique ranking system with the help of which it assigns rank to each and every website on the internet as per the quality of the networking of each site with each other. '0' is the base rank with '10' defining the highest possible grade for any website. Regards, RightMan
Basically just saying you need to get some good content. Also to get the search engines to keep spidering your site try to update your site or pages or page after each index. Search engines love sites that update frequently.
PR is given by Google depicting the importance of web page on web. It is calculated as per the number of inbound links and every links PR add to the site's PR. This is how Google calculates it. The formula is also there on the web, that how PR is calculated for the site.
When you say updates is that any update? As in adding or removing some words or does it need to be something more major? I have been doing little bits and pieces on my website nearly every day for a few months now but the bots seem to only come through every 7-10 days.
