Page Rank on Dropped Domains

Just wondering if this is normal.

I bought a pr3 domain that was dropped. Put a blog on it and it kept the pr but now a month later it has lost the page rank. I update it regularly. Do you think the ranking will come back quickly if I have good content and keep trying to build links?

    Thanks in advance.

It depends upon the quality of links that your domain is getting. I had one domain which I did not do anything and kept it free for personal use , it got a PR3 and still does have a PR of 3 without any work being done.
I purchased a dropped domain last year and it kept it's PR for almost 8 months and now it is a PR3 , so keep building good quality links then it might be possible to get a good pagerank

I think it would not help in such a faster manner.

U have to update the site, build some backlinks and some good seo...

You will usually find that the PR will drop off after a couple of months - once google realises it is completely new content/themed site

if the original cotent of the site is not there, then the domain is like a new domain.

You just have to start anew from scratch just like any website. There's no preferences whatsoever from there.

You answered the quesition urself kinda, You have to build backlinks yourself, I dont belive it will just re-gain the PR status of 3 once its been dropped.

It would go back to it's previous state if you are going to work on it. most of the link that that domain has must have been remove and this is the reason why Google drop the pr.
