That is what i said, if you have short article then you do not need to make higher internal linking as 3-4 links will do. i talked about 300-500 words article, 10K words is high for any article and you can create atleast 100 internal linking pages. But You can not expect people to add more internal linking with article 300-500 that would not look good to reader and that is also not good practice for seo. Rest is upto person what he/she wishes to do
