Because it takes time to get pages indexed in Yahoo i.e. pages that have backlinks to your site. Also not every single topic of a forum gets indexed by Yahoo, which is quite lazy in indexing sites, compared to Google.
yogesh, the opposite is happening with me. yahoo is indexing the pages, it is google that shows zero backlinks.
there are a lot of sites that have backlink and PR checks... some of the ones i visit once in a while are dnscoop dot com and the backlink analizer at useseo dot com ... On another note, you should keep building links to this site - because it will take very long, and a whole lot to list better than official sites and big news broadcastors articles - so when next election comes along you are ready in a proper way.
Ganpat the link operator doesn't actually show exact figure any longer. Better option is to submit a sitemap to google and the webmaster tool section to check on links, details of this can be found here http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?answer=55281&topic=8511
1. Google PR gives you a idea about the amount of backlinks of your site. So start link building well to get a good PR. You should have to wait untill google updates their PR information. I think your site have a PR > 0 in next update. 2. If you publish articles, you will get backlink. Sometimes forum moderators uses "nofollow" attribute in a link (<a>) tag to avoid spamming. So, your signature will provide you a backlink only if the forum software doesn't add a "nofollow" attribute in your link 3. please check this post "http://www.webmasterworld.com/link_development/3207969.htm" for the answer of your question.
