Page Rank/Backlinks

    If you get backlinks from high Page Rank sites that aren't related to your site, You won't get any targeted traffic, but will the high PR backlinks give
    you a higher PR within the search engines & you will get more targeted traffic
    that way? :confused:

    Sure. Backlinks from quality & high PR sites will boost your PR and SERP.
    However nobody (not even Google) could tell you by how much exactly.
    In any case your organic traffic will increase over time. That means more targeted visitors for you :)

    If you are just trying to increase your pr and serp then links from any page with a high pr that are dofollow will help you regardless of theme.

    They will certainly help you, although the "link juice" would be lesser than what it would be from a link in your niche.

    yes, higher PR backlink will give you high PR but that doesnt really convert to traffic directly

    Backlinks from high PR will surely increase the your site PR.But if the backlink sites are not relevant then the ranking in the Google will surely goes down.Always try to make links from relevant and high PR site.

    yes if you get a link either from .edu or .gov or some higher PR with PR of 5 and more then it is really helpful in getting your website rank well

    All say relevancy is very important for SE. but m doubted on it and according to my exp get Links from high PR site ( not sparm, adult) is good for to get better PR

    The backlinks will definately help, but there is NO association between PR and your search engine ranking whatsoever, so it doesn't matter what your PR is. A PR0 site can rank on page 1 for a particular keyword the same as a PR6 site.

    That is correct. BUTTTT... it depends on the search term. Don't expect little Freddie's new PR0 blog to rank for 'Credit Cards' anytime soon

    High pr back link would also give you higher pr but not that much compared to related high pr back links.
