Page Rank and Internal Links

Does it help your site to increase its page rank if you have lots of internal links or does this just dilute everything making everything weaker?

In most scenarios it wouldn't increase your pagerank. If you happen to have lots of external links pointing to internal pages, it may help. Solid internal linking is still very important though. Yahoo still puts a lot of emphasis on internal links.

 

Internal links pass page rank around to your site. You'll go up if you have a lot of pages on your site. But, it's much easier to get more page rank by getting external links.

 

i think they are important but external links is better

 

Good internal linking should be fine, as google says it is good to crawl and index better the entire site, but when it comes to PR, external links is all you need. Also in internal linking, use "nofollow" on not so important pages link TOS, Policy, etc so the PR juice will not spread to them...

 

Google has become clever these days and for most of the link pages, PR is not assigned to avoid link trading.

 

I am not sure about it increase PR or Not, but it definitely helps to increase Google back links.

 

i think yes, internal link will spread page rank, once page rank assign to particular page.

 

it depends, i mean if you have a lot of internal links in your site(i mean internal links in your web pages that linked to other pages in your website) including anchor text with keywords, and if you have a limit number of external links that linked to another sites with No Follow tag in your site, 1)you will get high rank for your web pages,2)the search engines will trust your site 3) you will get high page rank 3)when you have internal links in your web pages that linked to another web pages in your site, the visitors will view more pages, that means they will stay more time in your website and you will get high rank,high page rank, and Google and the other search engines will really trust your website and it will looks important for them.

PageRank of a page will get distrubuted to internal pages which are linked to it, this can decrease the PageRank of that particular but you will be able to get more benefits because of internal linking. Pages will get indexed, ranked appropriately.

Internal Linking won't help in PR..
But if you have incoming links to your internal pages, then it will surely help.

 

Internal links will not increase your PR, but they will help to spread the PR across your website. Only external backlinks will help to increase your PR.
