Ok, this may be a dumb question...
But I know we are encouraged to create as many pages as possible of unique and original content to encourage love from the big G...'a 40 page website....or a 100 page website....etc"

given i am a wordpress user (suits my skill level) does Google consider 40 unique, content rich POSTS the same as 40 unique, static, content rich PAGES?

I currently go for 4 to 8 pages of static content, then have the blog posts updates as frequently as possible.

Note: permalinks for both pages and posts aere: www.domain/keyword-descriptive-title

each post is one seperate page. you can use this custom permalink structure which is good for SEO (looks like thats what you have now)

    %postname%

    Code (markup):

Good question I was always under the impression that Blogs were more SEO friendly than static websites.
