Page one for one keyterm - Do you move to the next term?

I recently posted about how I am almost on page one of google for the term
hardgainer. This leaves me the question, "What do I do after I get to the top
    of page one on Google?"

Am I supposed to target other keywords? This was my initial thought, but I just
want to make sure that this sounds correct. Anyone else tried this?

Maybe you're on page one of Google for "Make Money Online." So now you should
try to get on Google for "Work from Home" next? Maybe? Am I on the right track?

Ya, try for more competitive keywords than "hardgainer." You should ALWAYS have a search for your website title give you #1, not even a question. Now try getting up there for terms like "online fitness training" or terms people search more often...

Target as many different keywords as you can.

Target keywords which has high volume of searches. Hardgainer can easily rank in the first page of Google because it is not a competitive keyword.

Let your site grow, it's prefect time since your site is going well on google. Add more pages target related topics.

Good advice. The other method is to diversify and get a small amount of traffic each from many keyword phrases. It depends on the traffic/competition ratio in your niche.

for sure , go after tougher keywords and much sure you target keywords that receive traffic. there is nothing like getting to the top of google and then finding out nobody searches this keyword
