Page loading speed problem

    Hi there,

    (I'm new to this forum.)

I have tried optimizing the images, have a wordpress plugin to 'cache', have 'TentBlogger Optimize WordPress Database Plugin', have downloaded google's pagespeed, but none of them have really helped with the page loading time.

It's usually around 13 secs, but this week's report has shown it to be as long as 44 secs, which is just way too long.

Any help would be appreciated.  My site is http://www.the-boating-store-blog.com

    With thanks

Do you have a lot of plugins installed? If you have a lot of plugins it can slow down the page.

Choose carefully which plugins are truly required for all pages.

Delete all the Plugins for WordPress that you have mentioned. Never over crowd your website or blog with time dragging Plugins. 44 seconds is entirely to long for your viewers. In fact, I even skip out on Websites that may take more than 10 seconds. There is much more reason in owning a quicker website than a slow website with little value in Plugins.

    Plugins you should have-
    Google Crawler and Spiders
    Adsense
Meta Tags and H1, H2, etc.
URL names for articles instead of random code

Keep it simple and if you have good material you won't need to many extra Plugins that take up time and room. Nobody will ever, ever! wait 45 seconds for one website to load while pressing the back button in Google search is so much easier.

To improve page loading time use tools like YSlow, sites like WebPageTest and articles on website optimization. In these tools and sites it can help you to improve the page loading of your site.

Thank you to all who gave advice.  I shall delete some of the plugins and see how it goes.  I was advised to use 'quickcache' in order to speed up the process.  I am using quite a few plugins and have even more in the 'inactive' stage.
