Submitting to search engines is fast become redundant. You certainly never need to submit more than once. The "bots" will visit on your site on a regular basis (depending on how often they see your site change), and index any new pages that they find. People find that their websites are often indexed sooner if they put a link to it from another site that is visited regularly, for example this forum.
