Page indexed but I can't find it on Google?

Hi all,

I've launched a site about a week ago and I'm starting to see Google index some of its content. However, if I search for the page titles between double quotes, I won't find the page! Is this normal? Should I be worried? And lastly, how long until my whole site is indexed?

Yes, it is normal. Your site is very new and altough it is indexed, you are not ranking for that keyword. Start building backlinks with your title as keyword and you should eventually gain serp.

You can use the site:abc.com to check the the number of number of pages of your site indexed in Google.

Indexing takes time. There are many methods to index your site quickly ( Digg, Stumbleupon, Reddit your site to get indexed quickly)

You can also check the backlinks for your website using the link:abc.com in the Google.

A single ping is enough nowadays to get your site indexed in google.
But that's nothing, if you want rankings you should get more links (if possible in a natural way, not too many at once). Wait for 2 weeks, that's usually how long it takes.

 

Try submitting your site via google sitemaps

 

So do you suggest that I keep updating my site with new articles every day even if the main pages haven't been indexed yet?

 

Ya! Sooner or later google will index it and if the quality of articles are good then you may get a better SERP

You should be building backlinks on a weekly basis to improve your placement in the
serp.

One last thing, can I assume that once the main section pages of my site are indexed, my new posts will be indexed faster? Or does that just depend on PR and backlinks?

I mean, if there is an already indexed section page with links to the new stuff, the spider should go there and follow those links indexing the new content, right?

 

I tried that and, wow, it took about 2 hours for that page to be indexed!
But I'm guessing that if I dig too much from the same site they could get suspicious and ban be from digg, am I right?

 

It can be. In addition, try submitting your site in free web directories and you can also exchange links with other relevant sites to gain good rankings in search engines.

I suggest you do not worry, as you have to wait before you will see your site in google search results. New sites or pages get in search results after some time.
