Page Index Issues

Over the past few months I did a lot of behind the scenes work on my wallpaper site... I added new browse & search options as well as an automated system that introduces new wallpapers every day using cron.

The problem I am having is Google has not been to my site since June 10th (2007). GoogleBot was coming about once a week and then just stopped. At this point in time I have 115 pages indexed in Google. After trying and trying I went to Google's webmaster tools 2 weeks ago and submitted a sitemap. I have a total of 290 pages now compared to the 115 Google is showing.

Googlebot still has not come back and Webmaster Tools is not showing any problems.... Which there shouldn't be because I am not doing anything shady and the content is all original. It really sucks because my traffic was starting to grow really fast and now im not getting any new pages in the SERPS.

    Any ideas?
    Thanks!

Internal links help indexing, as well as, external links.

Other than the Google sitemap and website search capabilities, do you have good text link navigation? Do any of your pages point to the non-listing pages?

Perhaps a user sitemap would help, listing all your wallpaper categories and pages.

Thats exactly what I added a few weeks ago in hopes google would see everything and they still have not indexed anything.... Im bashing my head right now lol....

Theres absolutely nothing I can find as to why they are not indexing.... There is nothing in my htaccess that would mess with it either.

have you checked your robots.txt file? make sure there isnt any exclusions in there.

also, check your meta tags, maybe a robots nofollow tag or something to that effect in the page/s

    good luck!

We will never know google's secrets. They do what they want to do.
