Page impressions and CTR

I am new to AdSense and I thank God I found this forum! It seems like the best place to learn and discuss...I've been reading it for some time now, but decided it is time to come out of the shaddow and say Hi!

I have a question. My site has about 5000 unique visitors daily, serving about 50000 pageviews. But the AdSense page impressions are only 8-9,000. Is there a way to improve that, or this is controled by Google?

Also, I was wondering what is the average CTR? I have a feeling mine could do better :)

You either don't have adsense on all the pages or you're getting 80% PSA, which is probably not possible. Did you make sure all your pages have adsense on them? And CTR is different for different type of sites, this should be common sense...

Thanks, dzcap! Yes, all my pages have adsense...Which makes the problem a bit weird. Should I contact Google and ask them?

As for the CTR, I hear you, but what will you consider a decent CTR? I have noticed that the higher the CTR, the higher the eCPM. Am I correct?

The higher for BOTH the CTR and CPC, the higher the eCPM. You should definitely contact Google, if you have it on all pages, you're getting 80% PSA.

That doesn't fall under page impressions.

It is not at all a bad idea to have a couple of free stats programs running for just this sort of thing. Using Addstats plus Statcounter will bring out any oddness like hotlinking.

I don't know either but when people talk about page impressions, they most likely MEAN page impressions, not hotlinked images. Your guess is a good possibility though.

Well, I did not look for any hotlinked images, as I have a hotlink protection turned on...but I'd better check everything out before I email Google...Thanks, guys!
