All search engines like sites which are updated very often ... I am a bit confused , if i add a blog and a forum to my site , with subdomain blog.mysite.com and forum.mysite.com , and only the forum and blog are updated everyday , will Search engine find my site as having fresh content everyday because the blog and forum is getting fresh contents ?

I am confused because the blog and forum are as subdomain to my main site, Will Google or Yahoo find the blog or forum as a seperate site?

thx lots in advance , i hope i can get some good answers

Well considering that sub-domains are seen as individual sites. Then it shouldnt see your main site as being updated every day.

But if you did put a blog or forum on a subdomain. You could show the latest posts or blogs on your main page in an rss feed.

Thus building visibitlity to your sub-domains. And looking updated every day.

They will see it if your rss is not javascript.

I use carp on mine ( see http://www.myrollercoasterkid.com ) and it works nicely.. you can use a robot simulator to see what the search engine sees.

Thanks, I don't think it matters where the blog originates to show fresh content on your site, people, including me, use article feeds on their sites to get the same effect so it should work for your site as well, with the added benefit of having links to your blog and/or forum from your main site as well.
