    Page Data:

Pagedata is a number that indicates how many visitors may visit the site on the basis of the quality of the website ,quality of back links(linking from a non relevant site) and many other factors .

A site which has a higher Page Data(PD) than other sites means it indicates the site is of highest quality and probably more visitors may site

whereas a lower Page Data means it indicates the site is of less quality and the site has less visitors as dissatisified visitors spread the word about the site.

Simply Pagedata indicates how the site is popular among the visitors a site can be popular when is of high quality only!

The page data algorithm depends upon backlinks of a website but in a different manner

Also It is based on the each individual back link to your website

Here is the sample Page data

    PD means Page data

    ______________________________

    www.jeffbrowninc.com

    PD- 378 PR 4
    ______________________________

    www.1stchoicesearch.com

    PD-509 PR 4
    ______________________________

    www.aaadir.info

    PD-635 PR 3
    ______________________________

    www.ablazedirectory.com

    PD-697 PR 5

    ______________________________

    www.alikedirectory.com

    PD-378 PR 5

    ______________________________

    www.alivedirectory.com

    PD-2841
    PR 6

    ______________________________

Here www.jeffbrowninc.com has a Page data of only 378 where as www.alivedirectory.com has a Page data of 2841

It indicates the Alive Directory is of more quality and has more visitors than www.jeffbrowninc.com so the site is of higher quality and is visited by more people

Also this algorithim can be used to sort your listings as it indicates the most popular website among the listings

I would have said about difference between PR and Page data

Also it is not simply based upon on no of links

It is based on the each individual back link to your website

by algorithm you mean you set these numbers?
what is the scale of your metric? from 0 to infinity?

It is based on a comparitive scale

If you are comparing two sites with PD you can simply find out which one is greater

my site has a PD of 378

alive directory has a PD of 2841

    Divide by 2841/378 =~ 7

This means Alive directory is 7 times better than my directory

This is only a sample I will soon come out with a website check PD!

Interesting idea. Will be having a close look when released.

Does it check the PR of backlinks or it just depends on number of backlinks of a site??

Anyway of measuring the quality or value of backlinks?

This not depend upon PR of the backlinks

It depends upon number and the value of backlinks

this makes it a linear scale which means it can go to infinity
anyways, how do you assess the value of backlinks?

Very good idea. So far you only mention the important backlink, however i still not clear, is it back link data from search engines, or backlink to the directory itself.

For the other factor, like the quality (editor weighting?), how to calculate them and provide the final value? :)

If two or more sites are having the same pagerank then

we will not be able to distinguish them

whereas , they will be having different PD's so you can clearly distinguish them

and also if you are having higher Page data it indicates the site is likely to be visited by more visitors and also its quality his high!
