    however now be ready to lose top rankings once google indexes the SEO-ed page. I had similar experiment and rankings dropped about 20-30 positions after the site was optimized after getting links firstly. it recovered in about 1 month.

    Yes you are spot on Julia, it takes time for the pages to settle. The site dropped only for about a week in this case, but the results are shifting alot due to other changes i made.

    What is surprising is the great rankings it has on Google.com.au compared to .com

    My site is .com is hosted in US and has .com backlinks. The only connection to .au is im from there and the homepage has Australia on it.

    For instance up until Sunday it was beating Aaron Walls seobook.com, seoroundtable.com, seochat.com etc for the term "SEO" and "SEO Company" on Google.com.au

    So i just need to wait until things stabilize before i can get some accurate data from the testing.

    I target "SEO Company" too.

    Hopefully, I will be on the first page of Google in a couple weeks. I already have #12 spot..

    lol thanks for the trip down memory lane, this post was done mid 2007. :confused:

    Well to be honest, after 558 days i don't really remember but knowing me it would of been a mixture of link sources. I always do that in case one type gets devalued.

    Funny reading that after so long, i did what i said and got to #4 for SEO on Google.com and it only took about 70 days from when i started focusing on it.
