    The DP P&R needs shutting-Unfortunately things get heated very quickly and as a former offender it is very easy to be rude to other members who dont share the same opinions as one.
    Things will never be cool-As a conservative i could never agree with a Liberal or vice versa.
    Time for Shut Down.

    I think this happens everywhere. P & R is never an easy thing to 'deal' with, and many of us tend to take things personally.

    However i believe it still has a place here..and we shouldn't take those heated discussions personally as well.

    P&R has always been a hot topic in DP..

    If you can handle harsh comments, enter it or just stay far from it. I don't think it can be closed down so easily.

    but things there have gone WAY too far,antisemitic rep and comments,anti-American and Israeli feeling.

    But it drives traffic, increases page views, which in turn drives alexa rank......and that all equals = $$$

    The P & R will never be shut........too much traffic :D

    I think the initial idea was to keep political/religious rant out of General Chat. Unfortunately P&R often degenerates to a mud slinging match, quite vitriolic at times. Mary's advice of avoiding that place is sound.

    Besides do we all not need someplace to go and rant about these types of things? Also it DOES keep it out of general chat and if you do not like it stay out like Mary said.

    No point in shutting it down and have people rant in general chat or some place else and screw everything up.
