Own URL in footer?

Is it a good idea to place your own URL in the footer of your site? For example, a site called thisismysite.com. In the footer you may have something like.. " Copyright 2008. ThisIsMySite.com. All rights reserved. "

Should the " ThisIsMySite.com " be a clickable link back to your homepage? Should it have the " rel=nofollow " tag on it, or what?

Almost every page has a clickable link back to the homepage. Mines is clickable too but it doesn't really matter, I guess. It's your choice and what you think is better and/or feels more comfortable.

you can link your header logo up to your homepage - it's basic usability really. i wouldnt bother linking up footer text though.

Having your homepage link in the footer won't make any difference.
If it will facilitate the navigation then it's OK. Otherwise there is no need to place it there.
