Hi all thanks for your time. I own .org domain of a big company. company is a multinational and seem to have offices all over the world. All the other extension of thisdomain as taken. Most of the regional ones are taken as well.

Please advice me what should I do. I want to sell this domain and make profit. Thanks a lot

Be careful... if it's a registered trademark or company and the domain was registered after the trademark or company creation you can't own it, anyways you can try to sell it on sedo, godaddy or here ;P

typically the advice is to just hold on to it and do nothing. I own the .us extension of an exact product name (happened to snag it while it was just speculation a year ago) and I wish I could do something with it, since it will be released to the consumer public soon.

it's really only going to be useful to the company if they want it, hopefully they would offer you something to save the hassle of using legal means to take it away from you, I wouldn't expect much though

legally they can take it away from you if it is their trademark

Did you register the domain after this company was formed, if so, there could be potential TM issues, especially if it's a large multinational company like you mentioned

You will be in lesser trouble if you don't try selling it. Rather build a site on it with content/theme totally unrelated to the multinational company thereby clearly distinguishing you from them.

Don't try to sell it, you will be glad you didn't.

There are chances that you ll get unto trouble. Any sensible Domain buyer will hesitate to buy it, so you won't get much return.

It also depends how much the company is concernd about protecting their trademark

    Some are, some are not

Just Park it and see if you get any typein traffic. Keep a low profile.

You will make some bucks on parking, then just let ut expire.

My suggestions, see what you think.
