I believe yahoo (overture = yahoo) just stopped the service one day about a year ago. Sorry - I don't know about any alternatives.

I think it's because a lot of people were using the Overture keyword tool to decide which keywords they would bid on in Google. Yahoo has billions of dollars, and a name for themselves yet they can't figure out a marketing strategy to get ahead of Google.

    cirko,

The keyword tool was taken down very recently, though I do not know why. I have not been able to find a comparable (free) tool yet, and so I have been having to manually research keywords again (though I was already, now there is much more work involved). I hope I can find a new solution soon, as it was a big help.

Anyway, what I have been doing is visiting sites that compete with the sites I work with, and trying to determine what keywords they are using, as well as their success level with these keywords. It's not the best strategy at this point, but so far it's worked Ok. Again, it just takes a lot more manual work now (which I don't mind).

Hehe thanks for the news... I didn't knew that overture doesn't work anymore.
I use the same technique as MyEasySEO.com. Just check the top ranked sites on your niche and see what they optimize for. ;)
