I am new to this field but I think its a great hobby. I am online alot anyway and I already have a couple of websites so I figured hey why not try to make a little extra money? I have bought a couple of books and done alot of research online but I have a few questions...

1- what does this community define as a "valuble keyword" in Overture?
Suppose I find a few topics that I could consolodate into 1 site, on different pages, that seems to pay about 5 bucks a click, according to overture.
It THAT worth the effort? Obviously 20 dollar ads are worth it, but I was wondering what some of your parameters were...

2- If I were to want to know how many times a keyword has been entered into a search engine over a period of time( year / month), what tool would I use?

3- What makes you think that you can get an underdeveloped niche site a prominent spot on the S E results page?

Im sorry if this seems to be in the wrong section, but I thought it was close enough. Cheers...

uh, lots of questions there, piratebroadcast...
you're probably off-track in looking specifically for high-paying keywords. More often than not, I've gotten killed by targeting a niche just because it had $10+ keywords. instead, look for less-developed niches, and use keyword prices just as a double-check to make sure it's not some horrendously low-paying niche. Like, where the top keyword pays $.32.
