overture or wordtracker?

    Hello!

The other day I was wondering which keyword suggestion tool is better...
Let's search for the keyword "car". If you use worktracker ( freekeywords.wordtracker.com ) it shows 14978 searches/day for "car" so that is about 450,000 searches/month, but if you use an overture tool ( keywords.tv ) that shows a number of about 3,000,000 searches/month for the keyword "car".
There is a huge difference between the two tools which apparently should give the same result...
So, what is going on? Am I missing something?

    Thanks,
    Vlad

Overture is using Yahoo (the Overture-Yahoo, not the Yahoo) DB. WordTracker is using MetaCrawlers DB.

    Both are different of course.

Which one has the most relevant result? None, if you want to take visitors from Google. None of them use Google DB. Makes sense, right?

Which to be used? Both. Why? Because people use them as Keyword Variation Research Tools, not Keyword Searches Result Tool.

NicheBot would be quite useful with its latest version. It is a keyword research tool.

That is a good question and I have noticed the same thing with other keywords.
I thought WordTracker says they use Google and other search engines to determine # of searches while Overture uses just the Yahoo network.
So Wordtracker should be showing more searches per month and not the other way around????

I have been using Wordtracker less and less and really concentrating on Google's keyword tool. I am really only interested in what Google thinks at this point and their is excellent and free. It also gives you monthly trend information.

NicheBot is using WordTracker and KeywordInventory database . So, it's basically almost the same with WordTracker.

WordTracker is NOT using Google. There are NO tools that use Google database.

It's a best general rules for estimating Google results

Which part are you still not understand? If you are trying to measure Google's result, both Overture and WordTracker is not the tools.

    Again...

There are NO tools that gives Google's search result. You could get the keyword variations from Google AdWord tools, but not the monthly searches number.

Overture is from Yahoo. And... WordTracker is from MetaCrawlers. Both are different of course.
