Overture Keyword Research Tool

Discussion in 'Products & Tools' started by googledave, Jan 29, 2007.

Does anyone know what will happen to the keyword research tool on this site - http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/suggestion/ ?

Overture is now using a different system in the US, so i figure this will stop the tool from working. Similar tools appear to have already stopped but the one on this site runs a month behind.

Does this mean it will go offline next month?

I really use this tool a lot - so if i got a month left i will do major keyword research.

    Any advice appreciated.

    - Dave

To be honest, I'm hoping a faster tool will be developed. I hate how slow Overture is

Others tool might be using 'scraping' technique which has failed now ..

but dp is using api {probably} so i think it will remain alive :)

    Hello all,

I started testing actively wordtracker trial version these last days,
how about the relevance of the data it generates? Can one rely on
    it's results in this situation?

I'm wondering when the Overture Keyword Selector Tool's gonna be
back... so that I can compare the risults between Wordtracker and
    the OKST.

    :)

I'm getting erratic functionality of the tool - sometimes it works, other times it doesn't. Anyone else experiencing this?

Yes, I've been getting the same results.

I really wish I could see Canadian searches as well...

    Hello,

It's been about five or six days now since I can't have
the Overture Keyword Selector Tool working.

I imagine Yahoo are making their tool better than it
was, I just hope they won't spend too much time
    to finish this work.

Let's expect the tool to reborn on
    the beggining of February.

    See you, :)
    SSG.

I'm seeing the kinds of results I'm used to seeing tonight.

There I was running around considering Wordz, NicheBot, and whatever else :D

    Thanks again Shawn!

Its nice to see it back ... otherwise hundreds of scraper tools would have gone dead.
