I was running a few searches for words on Overture, and I've noticed that there results often come up alphabetical if there are word combinations... Any truth to this? I can imagine what I think that natural word order is, but wondering if I should register a domain name in the order that the words are coming up in overture or what I think is the natural order.
7983 celebrity movie archive browse found when searching "celebrity" Of course, the word 'browse' should be at the beginning, not the end of the querry.
Overture always mess the word order around, its one of those annoying things. Nothing to do with alphabetical (the example you provided isn't in alphabetical order anyway?)
yes. for example it display "web design web hosting web services" as "design hosting services web web web"
I've been a overture user for a long time and start to think about switching to wordtracker as there alot of wrong keyword results. Altough none is perfect so now I use the digitalpoint tool to check both. Mixed up words is one of them but also if you think you found a very hot niche with a good search value you better check wordtracker first to compare, found a good article on this here : http://www.wordtracker.com/articles/index.php/academy/demystifying_the_radically_different_keyword_results_provided_by_overture_a/
Thanks browntwn & Kirtan for the examples, that's exactly what I mean. Some of these are throwing me off. In particular, I found what I thought was a great niche word combo (according to Overture) that didn't make sense to me... When I tried to confirm, the actual search number started to bounce around... almost to nil... Annoying... was like "wow" only to be disappointed and confused... (No, I'm not talking about my past relationships!). Thanks for the advice Farkas, I'll check out the article...
Yeh, happened to me to -> made a website about it -> had a good seo position but very low traffic in contrary to the high search value on overture.
Farkas, I just tried the digital point tool for "real estate" (w/o quotes) and didn't get any results... is it still working? BTW, that was a rather depressing, but eye opening link about queries. Chris
Idd that's the problem with wordtracker getting data, it always shows low results or none. Or your keyword is to specified.
