Should I go for Adwords then....I have been trying to decide the best "cheap" way to get some good traffic to my site...

Not to be rude, joshril, but you've asked the same question in at least five threads already. Try the seach function and search for 'overture adwords' (without quotes).

Today they have sent me a letters:

"In February 2005 your account received $4.86 in click charges. As a
result, the difference of $15.14 was recently deducted from your account
    balance.

Your business will benefit most if you meet the monthly minimum by
receiving $20.00 in click charges and the associated customer leads, rather
than incurring this charge. To avoid this charge in the future, you may
wish to consider using one or more of these simple strategies:

    (1) Bid your listings higher
    (2) Turn on the Advanced Match type to broaden the distribution of your
existing listings and receive more targeted leads
    (3) Add new listings to your account
    (4) Make sure your account doesn't go offline before receiving $20.00 in
    click-through charges for the month"

    and

    "Dear Overture Client:

Your Overture search listings have generated many clickthroughs to your
site! Because your account balance was low we attempted to charge
your credit card to replenish your account. Unfortunately, we were unable to add
sufficient funds to your account to keep it online. Typically, this
occurs because of a problem with your specified payment method (expired
credit card, exceeded credit limit, etc.).

Because we were unable to replenish your account to cover future
clickthroughs to your site, we have temporarily interrupted your
    service."

    and

    "
reat news! You'll be happy to hear that your site has received a
large amount of targeted clickthrough traffic from us!

As a result of this traffic, your Overture account balance was low. We
processed a new credit card transaction on Mar 01 2005 18:25 PT and
deposited $30.00 to your Overture acct: .
The credit card transaction was successful. The details of your
    transaction are as follows:
    "

My question is - how can I shut down this fucking account? I have thought that they will not charge me... I hate more and more overture.

By the way - I have tried more or less 100 new listing and all was declined.

    overture is teh b3st!!11!1

It better than adwords. I once got too many clicks so I contactred them. Inb a few weeks I got a refund for the excess clicks. Adwords didn't do that.

It's not like they have a lot of overhead to handle your account. They should handle this differently.

I don't mind the $20 minimum, considering that I am spending a lot more on Google. How is Overture traffic compared to AdWords. I'm getting a sale for every 100 adword clicks...which is very good. I've stayed away from overture mainly becuase of their $0.10 min bid.

1/100 isn't very good. Well, at least not for most advertisers.

Anyway, if you're interested in Overture, just give them a try. Some people have better results w/ Over. And other people do better w/ AW.

I hate overture's daily budget. It robs companies and then tells them to go
#$%^! themselves. Start doing something about it.
