Hi Guys, Overture editorial approval - its hard understanding it. I submitted two urls for two different keywords which belong to the same category..."Work From Home" Here are the two urls: 1) http://www.profitfrominternet.com/typing_jobs.html 2) http://www.profitfrominternet.com/data_entry.htm The first one was approved the same day and the other is pending now past 5 days!!! What do you guys think is taking them so long? Is their any other way for a quicker approval? Thanks a lot... -Vipul
Not that it will do any good, but CALL THEM!! I submit 8 different request in which the key words were Mardi Gras Invitations. They approved all but one.... The reason for rejecting the one - "Offensive Lanuage". This listing has basically the same words / terms as all the others. I called and ask why, and was told that sometimes key words, like Lav Vegas, raises a flag. When the flag is raised, it is view by humans. She said that sometimes the term Mardi Gras has a negative connotation, and that was why it was rejected. So, according to her, humans rejected the listing about Mardi Gras Invitations...... Can you believe that????????? I ended up canceling the entire campaign.
I have been reading about it at many places and the most common answer that I came across is RESUBMIT - RESUBMIT - RESUBMIT. If I am not mistaking Jack has also pointed to the same fact at the end of his Overture Tutorial at http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=49276 The main problem is that I see most of the keywords rejected due to the problem of "Site Ownership". To find a solution to the problem I bought Overture Cash from www.overturecash.com only to find the guy saying "Build Landing Pages" he he he... So, I have changed the content of my page and RESUBMITTED the keywords...lets see what happens now. -Vipul
Depending upon your expenditure levels, you can get very good results by making life difficult for customer service. If you're insistant, and point out exactly how un-called-for and idiotic some of the rejections are (and they often can be.), they will eventually turn your case over to executive services, where they can beat a little compliance into the editorial team. Running PPC for an online pharmacy has taught me a lot about YSM's inner workings, as they clearly have many overzealous editors who appear to live to reject listings without proper cause.
